Assist Systems are modules that can be applied to new Paal ELEMATIC machines or retrofitted to existing machines.
A Standby and Sleep mode can reduce energy consumption during production stops. Maintenance Assist communicates when service is required, while Remote Service provides direct access from Paal to the machine.
Advanced hot melt and hybrid servo drive technologies also contribute to energy savings. Other Assist functions include password protection for menus, online parameter modification to change settings during production, help functionality, size change, source code access and data backup.
What’s more, in 2008 Paal began generating about 17,000 kWh of photovoltaic power for its production processes, saving over 28,000 lbs. of CO2 emisssions. Electronically controlled, radiant heat also conserves energy at Paal’s facility near Stuttgart, Germany.
At interpack last year, Paal introduced its latest ELEMATIC case packing systems. Watch the video.
