Pro Pack Systems’ (PELV booth S-5226) Pro Print™/EBS-HS-2 now comes with standard, recipe-driven, automated servo size changeover.

The all-in-one solution for printing, erecting and bottom sealing of corrugated shipping cases prints all four sides of the case before it is erected. This delivers inherently better print quality and higher resolution of bar codes and graphics than printing packed cases traveling along a conveyor.

4-sided printing of the knock-down cases is performed with just two ink jet print heads. It is also possible to print the top flaps at the same time.

Using servo modules from Schneider Electric ELAU Packaging Solutions, the EBS-HS-2 delivers smooth, repeatable servo-driven case opening and squaring at speeds up to 35 cases per minute. Both hot melt and tape closure systems are offered for bottom sealing.

The printed and erected cases can be discharged manually or on demand with the case oriented vertically to facilitate packing. An easy-to-load magazine holds up to a 36” stack of KD cases on edge for continuous running while being loaded. Larger capacity magazines are available. Stainless steel, washdown construction and remote mounted HMI are optional.
