Aseptipack conference

Aseptic packaging is big around the world, and it is gradually taking hold in the U.S. It’s the competitive advantage of fresh taste versus slow progress with the FDA, which currently requires a letter of ‘non-objection.’

This year’s Aseptipak conference featured encouraging case studies and drew leading OEMs of aseptic filling and packaging systems. These included Sidel which offers ELAU-equipped Alfa™ labelers and Simonazzi™ fillers, Robert Bosch Packaging Technology using ELAU on a wide variety of equipment, HAMBA USA among others.

Interphex Puerto Rico

Among the exhibitors at the island’s big pharma event were Bosch Packaging, Heino Ilsemann, IMA, MG America, ELAU's parent company Schneider Electric, and Uhlmann. ELAU and Schneider hosted a who’s who of Puerto Rico’s pharma manufacturing leaders at the PELS seminar. (See Packaging Automation article.)
