For its new Rollmatic model, P.E. offers the PacDrive automation system from ELAU with one to three servos per machine for label material feed, label transfer and bottle plate belt drive. Two encoders are used, for position and speed synchronization.

The Rollmatic combines changeover flexibility and preventive maintenance features to maximize uptime. Advanced PacDrive SCL integral motor/drive technology allows servo rotation of bottle plates for precise and rapid application of any type and number of labels required.

Changeovers are programmable with minimum change parts. For added flexibility, cold glue and self-adhesive labeling stations are interchangeable on the same machine. An automated lubrication system removes the cost and variability of manually performing this routine but important maintenance task.
