New at PACK EXPO, the Servo Jet 400/80 is a continuous motion side sealer for applications up to 80 cycles per minute from Kallfass Packaging Machinery. Because the Servo Jet is a true mechatronic design, Kallfass guarantees 15% material savings over the customers’ previous equipment.

Leveraging the ELAU PacDrive automation system that’s so strongly influenced the packaging industry, Kallfass has designed the latest in its family of Servo Jets to offer the highest flexibility and fast, smooth wrapping along with reduced film consumption.

Product is fed by a transport conveyor and simultaneously wrapped into center folded film by means of a forming shoe. A circulating lug infeed precisely positions products for wrapping. Longitudinal sealing is performed by the continuous side-sealing unit, with cross-sealing via permanently heated sealing system.

Operation is controlled from a new ELAU PacDrive touch panel. Options include an integrated modem to simplify connections for remote diagnostics, and a film folding unit for processing flat film.
